Getting your test results
The practice will only contact patients if results are abnormal.
Please be aware that all results are filed in a batch. This means that if ANY result is out of range then the whole group of results will be filed as abnormal. This does not mean that every result is abnormal. Please be aware that you will be contacted if there are any abnormal results which require further action. You do not need an appointment to discuss your results unless you are contacted by our team to arrange this.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account
- in your SystmOnline account
- phone or visit us between 10am and 3pm and we can tell you whether your results are normal or abnormal.
Please be aware the admin team are not trained to interpret or explain blood tests and do not give out specific results or numbers. They can only tell you whether the results were abnormal alongside any information the GP who filed them has written. If you would like a full copy of your blood results please view them online or request a copy from the practice by completing an Access to Medical Records form.
